Description

The Facilitated Inspection Process Definition Workshop provides a cost effective and successful method of defining an inspection process that is tailored to fit your business environment. The workshop facilitator leads the process participants through issues that must be considered or decided in establishing an inspection process.

Decisions are made, responsibilities are assigned, and open action items are documented. The who, what, where, when, and how of each activity is settled. At the end of the workshop most necessary decisions are complete. More importantly, the people who must execute the new process have crafted the new process and share in it's ownership. Facilitators experienced in the use and development of inspection processes guide the team using their knowledge of what works, what is essential, and where tailoring for efficiency can be made.

At the Conclusion...
The participant should:
Have established inspection process objectives and rules
Have defined, in detail, a new inspection process
Understand the roles and responsibilities of that process
Have a generic inspection schedule template
Have documented and assigned action items

Prerequisites
Each participant should have a working knowledge of a software development or maintenance process.
