Software Quality Assurance

STSC's Software Quality Assurance public seminar will present the underlying philosophy and associated principles and practices related to the assurance of software quality as applied to software development projects. Emphasis will be given to the development of a SQA plan for a project.

Learning Objectives:

•	Relate the oversight functions of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to other components of a comprehensive quality management program.
•	Understand how to develop a project SQA plan.
•	Learn various techniques for implementing an SQA plan.
•	Become aware of industry and government standards for SQA.
•	Learn various SQA approaches that support the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Software Capability Maturity ModelSM (SW-CMM) and Capability Maturity Model IntegrationSM (CMMI)

Intended Audience:

•	This seminar is intended for managers and practitioners with direct responsibility for the SQA function within their organizations, or individuals desiring greater understanding and appreciation of SQA concepts.
